Fairy Rose Plique-a-Jour Pendant

Plique-a-Jour, or “let in the light,” is a labor-intensive enameling technique with which one can create tiny stained-glass artwork. This enameled rose is made from “true;” or vitreous glass, enamel and fine silver. It is suspended on a long (22″) handmade chain of sterling silver, pink freshwater pearls and garnets. When worn, the pendant is a deep rose hue but changes to brilliant pink when held against a light source.
